Final Health Care Bill May Require Proof of Insurance on Tax Returns
    By Molly Henneberg

  5. In these already difficult Economic times,

Our Citizens should not be forced to have and pay for Health Insurance. What is worse is that they should not be forced to pay a PENALTY.

    It will accumulate yearly!

Those that are on the edge financially will be pushed over that edge!

I am one of those who do not get sick. When I am able to retain work, I carry Health Insurance. Why should my premiums and now a proposed penalty be used for someone else.

I am one of the Millions that fall in between.
Massachusetts already does that to me.

Millions of TEMP workers across the US are not offered Health Insurance or are offered little care at a Huge Premium.
Now if I become homeless due to paying these Premiums instead of my rent or starve because I can't buy food...
Then I can try to be on Welfare but not accepted because I am able Bodied...

    Stop The Madness!
Drop this Payout to Insurance Companies and initiate tort reform!

Tell your Politicians to vote NO!

WASHINGTON – California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says concessions made to Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson to win his vote on the health care overhaul bill were a "rip-off" for his state and is urging California lawmakers to vote against it.
In an interview airing Sunday on NBC's Meet the Press, Schwarzenegger says giving extra Medicaid benefits to Nebraska to secure Nelson's vote, critical to Senate passage of the measure, was "like buying a vote." In Sacramento, he says, "it is illegal to do that, to buy votes."...

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada convened a strategy session with his top lieutenants. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California pledged to leap over any hurdle that got in her way.

  23. Healthcare reform:

For House Democrats to win passage of healthcare reform, 216 lawmakers must vote 'yea.' The vote could come as early as this week.

    The Christian Science Monitor

By Judy Nichols Douglass Staff writer / March 14, 2010

Both Democrats and Republicans are digging in for a week that may – or may not – produce a vote in the US House on healthcare reform.

For the House to approve the legislation, 216 lawmakers must vote “yea.”

“I think we will have the votes,” David Axelrod, President Obama’s senior adviser, said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “It’s a struggle, but I believe we’re moving in the right direction.”

But later during the CNN program, House Republican leader John Boehner said there was “bipartisan opposition” to efforts to pass healthcare reform. “I’m doing everything I can to prevent this bill from becoming law,” he said...

By James Rosen, Mcclatchy Newspapers – Tue Mar 23, 6:54 pm ET

WASHINGTON — The top prosecutors in 13 states — 12 of them Republicans — filed a lawsuit Tuesday challenging the health-care bill minutes after President Barack Obama signed the landmark legislation into law.

In a suit filed in federal district court in Tallahassee, Fla. , the attorneys general claimed that the new law's requirement for all Americans to buy health insurance is unconstitutional.

"This bipartisan effort by attorneys general around the country should put the federal government on notice that we will not tolerate the constitutional rights of our citizens and the sovereignty of our states to be trampled on," Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum said. "I will pursue this litigation to the highest court if necessary."

Louisiana Attorney General James "Butch" Caldwell is the only Democrat joining the lawsuit. The others represent Alabama , Colorado , Idaho , Michigan , Nebraska , Pennsylvania , South Carolina , South Dakota , Texas , Utah and Washington state .

  26. FACT CHECK: Spinning the new health care law

By Ricardo Alonso-zaldivar, Associated Press Writer – Tue Mar 23, 5:26 pm ET

WASHINGTON – The tumultuous health care debate that brought you death panels and socialism has spun off a catalog of popular myths that will keep growing as President Barack Obama and all sides battle toward the midterm elections this fall.

At a White House signing ceremony Tuesday, Obama ventured the hope that Americans on all sides will judge the legislation for what it actually says and does. "When I sign this bill," he declared, "all of the overheated rhetoric over reform will finally confront the reality of reform."

    Wishful thinking, Mr. President.

Facts are stubborn, the saying goes. But myths about the legislation are likely to persist as well. And a lot of people don't agree on which is which.

"People have taken away from the debate a number of beliefs about the bill that are very difficult to shake based on objective reports," said Robert Blendon, a Harvard public health professor who follows opinion trends. "There is enough skepticism out there that questions about how it's going to help the country are likely to continue."

Here's a look at some of the myths and realities, from both sides of the issue:
